Cooking in Argentina

How is the food in Argentina? It's simply quite delicious! Great access to fresh produce, three wine producing provinces, and exceptional meat! What is not to like. I took cooking classes to learn and appreciate a cuisine that has been influenced by immigrants from the four corners of the world. Empanadas argentinian style

This is an exclusive how to do video showing you how to make a delicious argentinian style empanada. Teresa lives in Adrogue, a suburb that is about a half an hour train ride from downtown Buenos Aires. Influenced by the turkish communities living in Argentina, these empanadas are unique and special seasoned with cumen and sultana raisins. Simply incredible.

Week 2 - Searching for an apartment and bike ride in Palermo

Searching for an apartment in Buenos Aires is no easy feat. The city is now a popular destination among tourists and prices have gone up. Thanks to help of David and Elizabeth, two ex-Accenture employees who left their Miami jobs to live here, I was able to stay in apartments for some nights in different neighbourhoods of BsAs. However, I was able to find an apartment for the month in the trendy neighbourhood of Palermo thanks to Luciana's help. Luciana speaks perfect English and French, and is also a tango teacher. Love the neighbourhood, full of cafés, restaurants and designer shops. This is the place that makes Buenos Aires the Barcelona of South America. Really cool! Nevertheless, I found time to do a bike ride in Palermo, so you can experience this neighbourhood too!

Bienvenido a Argentina

Wow ! I made it ! I am now in Argentina, the land of Juan Luis Borges, and looking forward to see what this country has to offer. Simply saying Patagonia or Ushuia evokes adventure and a world to discover. I have been here for a week and can say that I am not disappointed. Buenos Aires goes beyond my expectations.
